RULE CHANGE:
The new rule 2.01 (m) will now read:
“A shooter must not shoot in a grade higher than his best performance. Once
having attained a grade he may elect to remain in that higher grade when due for
re-grading. If he so elects he must remain in that grade for the next three
groups of 200 targets. If the shooter so elects, his card must be marked to
indicate such. Eg: Prefer A grade”
This rule took effect as from
2009Junior
Development Program
During 2009 two Elite Junior Coaching Clinics are to be conducted on behalf of
the NSWCTA and will be run by our appointed State Coach Mr Graeme Boyd.
A process for recognition of our “elite juniors” was structured at the last
State Meeting as follows:
Each Zone will be responsible for selecting a number of participants; Graeme has
agreed to assist the Zones to identify our potential champions. These
participants will then go to State Coaching Clinics and then on to the National
Coaching Arena. For more details contact Graeme
Boyd on 0419234798 or
graemeboyd@kooee.com.au
Winners are Grinners.
Champions at the Commonwealth Titles held at the
Blue
Book Review
During the next 2 months the Executive Committee Members plan to carry out a
full review of the current Blue Book. Your input into this activity is
welcomed. So if you have anything at all that you would like to see – or not
see in the 2010 Blue Book then ‘jot’ it down and either mail or email to the
State office.
New State Break Badges.
The NSWCTA have now ordered a very unique & specific “State Carnival Break
Badge”. The Badge has a space
to engrave the individual discipline and the # of the individual
break/discipline. The first shooters to receive these Badges are the people
who requested them at the 2008 State Trap Carnival.
The new supply will be ready in the next 6 weeks and can be purchased during
all future State Carnivals after your “distinguished breaks”.
NSWCTA Life Member.
At the February State Meeting Mr Les Aberley was nominated and awarded Life
Membership of the Association.
The nomination detailed the tireless efforts Les has made as a worker since
joining the State Executive Committee in July 1988.
Throughout the years Les has voluntarily run most State Skeet Carnivals as
well as being a great ambassador for our Sport. Given Skeet shooting is
Les’s passion it is only fitting that he be presented Life Membership the
Wagga during the NSWCTA a Skeet Carnival opening ceremony in August.
The
New kitchen installation at the Wagga Wagga Gun Club house is now complete
and functional. The renovations were made possible because of the combined
financial inputs of the A.C.T.A., Wagga Wagga & Downside G. Clubs.

New Contact details for the NSWCTA Office
A
big hello to all our readers!
My name is Kathleen Dawe and I am the new State Secretary. I have been working
for the NSWCTA for about 2 months now and am learning a great deal about your
sport.
A
little about myself:
I
was born in Pambula, but my parents moved to Wagga before I was 1 yr old. I am
the eldest of three; I have two brothers Anthony and Jeffery. I went to school
at Turvey Park Public School, then Wagga High School. My parents decided to move
to Tumut, where I attended Tumut High School. I finished year 12 there, then
went to work for the family business as a courier/ office assistant.
I
have 2 daughters, Maddison 10 years and Lilly 6 years.
I
moved back to Wagga at the beginning of 2008 as my youngest daughter Lilly has
Down Syndrome, and the recourses are of a higher standard in a city like Wagga.
I
attended Wagga Institute of TAFE, were I achieved a Certificate III in Business
Administration, and that is how I became an employee of NSWCTA.
Break Badges
We have received our order of the new State Carnival Break Badges, and they look
great!
